VIDEO: UFC 128’s Jon Jones On Good Morning New York

The interviewer was profoundly unprepared and sounded like he ran up a flight of stairs before talking, but this is a nice media pop. UFC 128's main eventer Jon Jones was a guest on Good Day New York for what appears to be the Fox affiliate for New York City. The questions Jones gets asked are generic, but that's precisely what we want: easy to digest, easy to understand, easy to appreciate.
↵I also like how they tied in Jones’ New York heritage and upbringing as well as the legal challenges. What’s even more impressive here, though, is Jones. He not only is generally smart and pleasant to talk to, he also understands the importance of staying on message. He understands the nucleus of an issue and explains it without getting into enough detail that he gets into trouble. And the inclusion of MMA’s fight to get sanctioned is precisely the aggressive push the UFC needs in front of the right audiences to change New York disdain or apathy.
↵Jones is likable, he’s promotable and one hell of a fighter. Saturday can’t come fast enough.
