The multimedia is finally starting to pour in from yesterday's UFC 128 weigh-ins. Below you'll be able to see I've included the video from the event. But there's lots more than just that.
UFC 128 Weigh-In Video, Pictures And More
BloodyElbow.com has links to the photos from the event. Included in that post are also quotes from Mirko Filipovic, who essentially admits he isn't very familiar with his opponent Brendan Schaub:
"I'm not especially familiar with Brendan Schaub. For me, he's just an opponent like any other. His six KO's in the first round in seven fights doesn't concern me at all, because he's just a rookie. He's good, he's young, hungry but I will show him and will prove (to him) that he's just a rookie in the sport."
"I understand he's a young guy and he's trying to get as much attention as he can get, so he talks a lot of stupid things and a lot of trash talk, but I don't care. I will try to finish him as soon as possible."
"He can try (to knock me out), but at the end of the fight, his head will be taken off. Schaub won't survive three rounds with me, I will defeat Brendan Schaub."
At once, this fails to inspire confidence and reassures me. He’s undeniably taking Schaub lightly, but perhaps he’s doing so because he knows his skill set will be too much. Or maybe he’s just collecting a paycheck. Either way, I’m sticking with my prediction.
Lest we forget, day three of UFC President Dana White’s video blog also has scenes from the weigh-in, only from the vantage point of the stage at the Prudential Center looking out to the crowd.
