Strikeforce Challengers 15 Results: Caros Fodor Thoroughly Dominates David Douglas

The fourth fight of the night for Strikeforce Challengers 15 is Caros Fodor vs. David Douglas.

ROUND 1 - The fighters clinch and working for position along the fence. Fodor attempts an outside trip but excellent balance by Douglas allows him to stay on the feet. Fodor attempts another trip takedown, but the balance of Douglas wins the day and he gets on top. Fodor tries to stand, but Douglas takes his back. He, however, misses an armbar and they clinch again. Knee to the body lands for Fodor and Douglas drives back on a double. Fodor attempts a jump guillotine, but can’t get it. In the ensuing scramble he manages to get back on top in half guard. Fodor working nearly unopposed and almost gets a kimura, but Douglas holds his own shorts (a legal technique) to avoid the submission.

ROUND 2 - Fodor closes the distance immediately and attempts a guillotine from top, but can’t get it. Now in Douglas’ full guard. Douglas is able to stand and is being held against the fence by Fodor in a gritty clinch battle. Two guillotine attempts land Fodor in mount the second time and they’re close to the fence. Fodor is bombing on Douglas now. Fodor abandons mount and tries for half guard. Douglas attempts full guard, but Fodor passes to side and is throwing hard elbows. Douglas trying to recapture half guard, but Fodor continues to pass.

ROUND 3 - Fodor comes out firing after the two clinch. HARD knees from the clinch land for Fodor. Excellent uppercuts from the clinch now for Fodor. Douglas did nothing to stop the onslaught and the referee stops the fight.
