ROUND 1 - McDonald stands orothdox, Cariaso southpaw. Right hand clips Cariaso, so Cariaso attempts a takedown. McDonald whizzers hard and turns an angle to avoid it. The two jockey for position along the fence. Now they separate. Now both fighters standing orthodox. Two hard right outside leg kicks from Cariaso. And again from Cariaso downstairs. McDonald returns the favor. And again from Caraiso plus a right hand. He charges into McDonald who locks up a front headlock, but uses it to turn Cariaso and separate. Cariaso back to being left handed. More right leg kicks from Cariaso, but trips in the process. McDonald jumps on top in Cariaso’s open guard. McDonald stands up and out of Cariaso’s guard. Both fighters whiff with punches and re-center. Right hand lands from Cariaso. McDonald ducks a headkick and drives Cariaso to the floor as the bell rings.

ROUND 2 - Cariaso starts out with the leg kick again, and is back to being southpaw. And another one from Cariaso. Left hand lands for Cariaso and McDonald is counterfighting at this point. Cariaso lands a hard kick to the body. Cariaso’s kick is blocked, he trips to the ground, but stands back up. Cariaso both to being southpaw after a brief switch. McDonald is on the receiving end of a groin shot and the fight is temporarily stopped. Middle kick for Cariaso and barely misses a head kick. McDonald lands a hard inside leg kick of his own. Cariaso attempts to takedown a charging McDonald and is stuffed. McDonald times a kick and shoots an impeccable double. McDonald passes quickly to mount, but Cariaso recaptures half guard and then scrambles to his feet.

ROUND 3 - Cariaso starts out southpaw. Fighters trade kicks. Middle kick partially lands for Cariaso while McDonald hangs back. Left hand lands for McDonald, but Cariaso gets a kneetap takedown to force McDonald to the floor. McDonald working now from full guard. McDonald attempts a triangle, but it goes nowhere. They stand back up. McDonald ducks under a punch to take Cariaso down, but Cariaso immedately lands an oma plata. McDonald escapes. Cariaso’s head kick attempt is blocked. The round ends there.
