UFC 130 Results: Travis Browne Knocks Out Stefan Struve In The First

The third fight of the pay-per-view portion of the UFC 130: Rampage vs. Hamill fight card is Stefan Struve vs. Travis Browne. This is a heavyweight fight, meaning neither fighter is allowed to be more than 265lbs. Struve is entering this fight after a win over Sean McCorkle at UFC 124 while Browne comes in off a draw with Cheick Kongo at UFC 120. The referee in charge of the action is Steve Mazzagatti.

ROUND 1 - The fighters open exchanging leg kicks and now clinch with Browne’s back to the cage. The referee separates them for inactivity. Browne aggressive in charging forward. Outside leg kick by Browne, but Struve returns it to Browne’s middle. Browne gets double underhooks and body locks Struve to the floor, working now from half guard. Struve creates space and nearly locks up a D’arce choke, but Browne escapes. Browne charges forward and misses with punches, but follows up with a superman punch and puts Struve’s lights out.
