UFC On Versus 5 Fight Card: Ronny Markes In For Injured Stephan Bonnar

Bad news for Stephan Bonnar. The season 1 cast member of Spike TV's 'The Ultimate Fighter' and UFC light heavyweight is out of his bout at UFC on Versus 5 due to undisclosed injury. According to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), newcomer Ronny Markes steps in to fill his slot on the fight card. UFC.com has the news:

With Stephan Bonnar sidelined by injury, 11-1 Brazilian newcomer Ronny Markes has verbally agreed to step up to the plate to face Karlos Vemola on August 14th's UFC on Versus card in Milwaukee.

Markes, 23, rides a four-fight winning streak heading into his showdown with Vemola. The reigning light heavyweight king of Shooto Brazil, Markes has only lost once as a professional. The Nova Uniao representative holds nine of his 11 career wins by either knockout or submission and most recently earned a unanimous decision victory over former Pride standout Paulo Filho in August.

Also announced for this card: Kyle Noke vs. Tom Lawlor in UFC middleweight action. The news, also from UFC.com:

Two fan favorites from TUF seasons past will face off in a middleweight bout this summer. Dana White confirmed today that Aussie Kyle Noke and "Filthy" Tom Lawlor have agreed to meet at UFC on Versus 5. Both men are coming off solid wins - Lawlor decisioned Patrick Cote last fall at UFC 121, while Noke scored Submission of the Night at UFC 127 in Sydney.
