UFC 134 Tickets Sell Out In 74 Minutes

According to Sherdog.com, tickets for UFC 134 sold-out in approximately 74 minutes. The event is scheduled for August 27th at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Tickets to the general public went on sale on Friday, June 17th at 11:30 p.m. PT. Tickets for UFC 134 were originally sold at the following prices: R$1,600, R$1,000, R$450, and R$275. Tickets were sold online at INGRESSO.com.

As the Sherdog report notes, UFC 134 ranks behind UFC 127 and UFC 115 as the fastest sellouts in company history. Both of those events sold out in 30 minutes for 18,000 and 17,000-seat venues. The HSBC arena is configured for 14,000 seats.

UFC 134: Rio features a middleweight title fight between current champion Anderson Silva and challenger Yushin Okami. In addition to that fight as a main event, UFC light heavyweights Forrest Griffin and Mauricio Rua will rematch and heavyweight prospect Brendan Schaub will meet former UFC and PRIDE heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.
