UFC On Versus 4 Results: Tyson Griffin Decisions Manny Gamburyan In Featherweight Debut

ROUND 1 - Both fighters standing orthodox and throwing huge punches right from the open. Griffin lands hard outside leg kick. Hard outside leg kick now for Gamburyan. Griffin returns the favor. Off of an overcommitted punch, Gamburyan times a perfect double on Griffin. Now they stand and Griffin is pressing Gamburyan into the cage, but Gamburyan is attempting a guillotine. Nice hip toss now from Gamburyan and he briefly takes Griffin’s back, but Griffin shakes him off. Gamburyan pressing Griffin into the fence.

ROUND 2 - Hard outside leg kick from Griffin to start the round. Another hard outside leg kick. Griffin doing all the stalking right now. Near knee tap takedown doesn’t work. Several more takedown attempts from Gamburyan goes nowhere. Griffin accidentally nails Gamburyan in the groin, which halts the bout momentarily. More outside leg kicks from Griffin and now a right hand. Another hard shot to the groin of Gamburyan stops the fight.

ROUND 3 - Gamburyan opens with an outside leg kick and then a shot from way outside that went nowhere. Nice hard body shot by Griffin plus another outside leg kick. Gambruyan attempts a double leg, but Griffin stuffs it. Gamburyan trying to press Griffin into the cage for a scoop double and gets it with authority. Griffin reverses and is nailing Gamburyan with shots from turtle. A further scramble and a hard whizzer from Gamburyan actually prevents an attempted throw. Hard outside leg kick again from Gamburyan. Griffin nearly attempts a standing guillotine and attempts the takedown late.
