ROUND 1 - Brenneman opens attempting a takedown, but Story throws him over. They both scramble to their feet and now separate. Hard shot to the middle by Story and now they’re clinching along the fence. Story working hard for the takedown and getting it only briefly. Right hand from Brenneman and now a brief takedown, but Story stands and now separates. Story doing the stalking now. Brenneman lands a hard right and gets the takedown. Brenneman passes to the side. Story recaptures full guard and is holding on Brenneman to get a stand up. The round ends there.

ROUND 2 - Brenneman dives for a single and gets it again. Story nearly attempts a guillotine, but is able to stand after Brenneman escapes. Story pressing Brenneman into the cage, but they separate and now Brenneman lands another blast double. Story tries to hip escape, but can’t get it. Story attempts an arm-in guillotine from half guard, but can’t get it.

ROUND 3 - Story tries to crowd Brenneman, but is take to the ground as a result. Story is attempting either a kimura or armbar, but can’t seem to get anything. The referee stands them up, unbelievably. Left hook for Story. Story tries to lock up an inverted triangle, but it’s loose. In a scramble from the release, Story gets on top and moves to mount. Brenneman uses open spacing from Story to get back on top.
