Strikeforce Challengers 17 Fight Card: Ovince St. Preux Vs. Joe Cason Targeted

According to a report by MMA Fighting, Strikeforce light heavyweight rising prospect Ovince St. Preux is set to return to the Strikeforce hexagon. The report states that St. Preux will face newcomer Joe Cason at Strikeforce Challengers 17. That event takes place at The Pearl at The Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 22nd. The fights for the main card will air on Showtime.

St. Preux is riding a seven-fight win streak, most recently defeat Antwain Britt, Benji Radach and Abongo Humphrey all within the Strikeforce cage. For Cason, this is his first fight for a non-regional promotion. He most recently defeated former UFC light heavyweight Sean Salmon in May of this past year.

The fight card for Strikeforce Challengers 17 at the time of this writing is as follows:

Roger Bowling vs. Bobby Voelker
Ovince St. Preux vs. Joe Cason
Lavar Johnson vs. Devin Cole
