With the heavyweight championship bout between Wladimir Klitschko and David Haye only hours away it’s time to get excited about the event. And what better way to get excited about a major fight than to analyze the fight to death. And that’s just what a few superstar boxers, trainers and personalities have done with the BBC.
Wladimir Klitschko Vs. David Haye - Bernard Hopkins And Others Share Thoughts
Bernard Hopkins had perhaps the most interesting take on the way things would go down:
Haye will knock out both brothers. I’m not impressed with those guys. They’ve got the height and good records and a Hall of Fame trainer in Emanuel Steward, but otherwise they’re ordinary. They ain’t special. They’re just lucky.
Wladimir will be real easy for Haye, but he’d run them both down and knock them both out. Without Haye, there ain’t nothing going on in the heavyweight division.
The BBC catches up with many other big names such as Carl Froch and Lennox Lewis for their thoughts. It’s surprising to see how many of the men they speak to are picking Haye to win the bout given the rather long odds he is facing.
