UFC 132 Results: Anthony Njokuani Wrecks Andre Winner In Excellent Striking Display

ROUND 1 - Both fighters open orthodox. Njokuani rips a right hook to the body of Winner. Now a left. Njokuani throwing several leg attacks already. Njokuani showing a lot of angles, looks, a wide variety of strikes and more. Spinning back elbow attempt missed. Njokuani switching back and forth between southpaw and orthodox. Winner eats a hard uppercut and now a knee. Winner is hurt and eating knee after knee, left straights and he’s still standing. Two hard right hooks now from Njokuani. Knee tap takedown from Njokuani, but now Winner stands again.

ROUND 2 - Leaping left hook for Winner. Missed head kick for Njokuani. Overhand right, left middle kick combo lands for Njokuani. Winner hangs on, but he’s clearly hurt. Njokuani lands a trip takedown, but Winner is able to stand. Referee Lavigne separates them. Nice inside leg kick by Njokuani. Not a ton of action, but Njokuani in total control.

ROUND 3 - both fighters exchange head kicks, but neither lands. Right hook-left middle kick for Njokuani works. Njokuani is back to changing stances and firing three or four strike combinations. More combinations from Njokuani, but nothing lands particularly well. Njokuani reaches for a kneetap, but it’s easily stuffed. Both fighters clinching now against the fence with neither landing anything significant, but now they separate. Hard right hand for Njokuani near the close of the round. Both fighters throwing huge punches as the round expires.
