Though the calendar has changed, it’s not too late to look back at last season. SB Nation is counting down its top 15 most-viewed NASCAR stories of 2010 during the first two weeks of January.
No. 4: List Of Drivers’ Song Choices For Spring Bristol Race
Part of the reason for revealing this list is to help readers understand what kind of stories appeal to their fellow fans. And according to the numbers, people really, really want to know what songs the drivers pick for their pre-race introductions at Bristol.
For the second time on the countdown, a Bristol songs list is among the most-clicked of last year (the August race ranked No. 11 on this list). Let that sink in for a minute: Of the hundreds of NASCAR blog posts on SB Nation, two of the 11 most-clicked were simply lists of the drivers’ song choices.
Song choices, of course, are strictly a personality-based item. It has nothing to do with racing or competition, but rather fans trying to gain some more insight into the personalities of the drivers.
These are apparently the types of things people want to read. What other conclusions could we draw?
Only three stories were more read than this one, the list of Bristol songs for last March.
