Nationwide’s 2011 NASCAR Commercial: Danica Patrick, Dale Earnhardt Jr. ‘Go Long’

Hasta la vista, “You and me both, Junior.” Hello, “Go long.”

Nationwide Insurance released its new NASCAR commercial today, and it features drivers Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Danica Patrick together for the first time in an ad (they also appeared in a 2006 Jay-Z music video).

In the commercial, Patrick convinces Earnhardt Jr. to keep backing up to demonstrate her point about vanishing deductibles. Earnhardt Jr. eventually disappears altogether – but the sport’s most popular driver ends up getting the last laugh.

The commercial is certainly funnier than the infamous “You and me both, Junior” ad that played incessantly for the first half last season. But if this ad is played every commercial break, it will quickly get old, too (as would any commercial that’s played so frequently).

Anyway, since you likely haven’t seen it yet, check it out below the jump.
