Does it feel like you’ve heard a lot about Kyle Busch during this season’s NASCAR broadcasts on FOX?
Kyle Busch Is ‘Most-Mentioned’ NASCAR Driver In Early Portion Of 2011 Season
Well, according to the media analysis company Joyce Julius, you’re right. As of the Martinsville race, Busch has been mentioned and interviewed more than any other driver during Sprint Cup races – and it’s not even close.
Busch’s name has been mentioned by FOX broadcasters 1,221 times so far – a whopping 482 more mentions than second-place Jimmie Johnson and more than twice as often as Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Busch has also been interviewed 11 times – tied with Kevin Harvick for the most; but the length of Busch’s interviews (14 minutes) is nearly four minutes more than the next-closest driver.
After Busch and Johnson comes Jeff Gordon, followed by Tony Stewart, Carl Edwards and Earnhardt Jr.
Not included on this list? In a mild surprise, Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne and upstart Paul Menard didn’t make the cut.
Here’s a look at the chart released by Joyce Julius on Monday:
