Sprint All-Star Fan Vote: David Ragan Bumps Martin Truex Jr. From Top 10

What are David Ragan fans called? The Raganites? The Roush Davidians? David’s Darlings?

We’re not sure. But whatever they’re called, Ragan’s Rabid Rooters pushed the Roush Fenway Racing driver into the top 10 of the latest Sprint All-Star Race fan vote, bumping Martin Truex Jr. from the top 10.

Ragan was closing in on the top 10 last week, but completed the pass in the latest top 10, announced Thursday. Sprint said more than a million votes have been cast so far.

Here is the current top 10 (in alphabetical order):

  • A.J. Allmendinger
  • Marcos Ambrose
  • Jeff Burton
  • Dale Earnhardt Jr.
  • Brad Keselowski
  • Bobby Labonte
  • Joey Logano
  • Paul Menard
  • David Ragan
  • Brian Vickers
  • JUST MISSED: Martin Truex Jr., Michael Waltrip

As we told you a couple weeks ago, it’s still worth voting for your favorite driver even if he’s not named “Dale Earnhardt Jr.” There are several scenarios in which Earnhardt Jr. could get the most votes but not “win” the fan vote.
