As social media continues to boom, companies are increasingly interested in ways to measure an individual’s “influence” among followers.
NASCAR Drivers On Twitter: Who Has The Most ‘Klout?’
Which drivers are considered “influential” by social media ranking website Klout.com?

A variety of sites offer measurement tools for influence in the social media space, but perhaps the most respected is Klout.com, which provides influence scores on a 1-100 scale.
Klout bases its score on how well an individual engages his or her followers. The formula is based on mentions, retweets and clicks on links; in other words, Klout wants to see if an individual influences followers to take action.
The description on the Klout site says:
The final Klout Score is a representation of how successful a person is at engaging their audience and how big of an impact their messages have on people.
With that in mind, we wondered: Which NASCAR drivers have the most influence? Jimmie Johnson was recently named the most influential athlete in all of sports by Forbes.com; would his ranking hold up when we ran all of the current Sprint Cup Series drivers’ Twitter accounts through Klout?
