Michigan International Speedway Weather Forecast: What’s the Risk for Rain?
Overall not a bad weekend in the Irish Hills of southern Michigan. The only cause for concern this weekend is a warm front that lifts out of Indiana Friday night into Saturday and stalls on Sunday. This stalled front will be a forcing mechanism for storms and showers Saturday and even on Sunday. The highest threat for showers or storms looks to be on Saturday. Just because the best probability of showers could form on Saturday doesn’t mean it will be a wash.
I have seen this scenario many times with the Michigan race weekend. The past few races have features showers and storms threaten with one passing over the track or a sprinkle or 2. Of course when dealing with hit or miss showers it just takes one ill timed storm to hit the track to ruin a great day of racing and activities.
