Danica Patrick Says She’s Tired Of Questions About Her Future

Danica Patrick, who seemingly plays coy about her future for about half of every year, says she’s tired of being asked questions regarding where she’ll race in 2012.

Patrick, holding a sponsor-promoted question-and-answer session with fans via Twitter on Thursday night, was asked by one fan:

@Spacie_Stacie: is there a question you just wish people would stop asking you over and over again?

Patrick replied:

@DanicaPatrick: Where I am going to race next year. Indy or NASCAR.

Seriously?

Patrick is the queen of leveraging the mystery about her future into better offers and opportunities for herself while leaving fans and media guessing.

She’s been a willing participant in this annual dance, with sponsor GoDaddy.com constantly adding to the hype. Just last week at the Indy 500, GoDaddy CEO Bob Parsons told ESPN.com that he expects Patrick will come to NASCAR full time in 2012.

Yet she’s tired of questions about it?

It’s funny how these things work sometimes. Celebrities create a story, keep the story going for their own benefit – at times even adding fuel to the fire – and when it’s suddenly not beneficial to them anymore, they proclaim to be tired of talking about it.

That seems to be the case here. But if Patrick really is tired of discussing her future, perhaps that actually means she’s made up her mind.

After all, if there’s a deal in the works that she wants to keep quiet until it’s officially signed, there’d be no reason to tease the situation in the media any longer.
