Kasey Kahne’s Hendrick Motorsports Sponsor For 2012 And Beyond: Farmers Insurance
Hendrick Motorsports announced Tuesday that Kasey Kahne will be sponsored by Farmers Insurance for 22 races per season when he joins the team to drive its No. 5 car beginning in 2012. The sponsorship agreement is a three-year deal.
Farmers had been a five-race primary sponsor on the 5 car this season, and decided to expand its efforts when Kahne came on board.
”“I”ve had a chance to meet the Farmers people, and they”re doing some exciting new things from a marketing standpoint,”“ Kahne said. ”“I”m looking forward to being a part of their team and helping grow the Farmers brand. To have this kind of support, and to have it come together so early, is such a boost for all of us.””
There will 14 points races left to be sponsored, but it could mean that Go Daddy is moving on from the No. 5 car to sponsor Danica Patrick should she make the jump to NASCAR full-time next season. Go Daddy is currently the No. 5 car’s primary sponsor.
Given that the announcement was made so far in advance, though, Hendrick will have plenty of time to fill out the remaining unsponsored races on Kahne’s car.
”“It”s extremely positive when a company of this caliber sees the value of NASCAR and immediately wants to do more,“ Hendrick said. ”“Farmers will have an excellent spokesperson in Kasey, and we”re committed to putting him in a position to win races and championships.”
Ladies, if you’re wondering what the Farmers colors and logo looks like (to get an idea of the Kahne gear you’ll be wearing):
