Eldora Speedway Results: 2011 Prelude To The Dream Won By Clint Bowyer

Clint Bowyer won the 2011 edition of the Prelude to the Dream charity dirt race at Eldora Speedway on Wednesday night, leading the pay-per-view event from start to finish.

No one had anything for Bowyer, a longtime dirt racer, at the Tony Stewart-owned track.

“What an awesome racetrack,” Bowyer said. “I’ve always loved this place and I’m very proud of Tony Stewart and everybody behind him that makes this event awesome. There’s a lot of hard work to put on something like this, and we are very lucky to have him put forth the effort.”

JJ Yeley finished second, followed by Aric Almirola, Kyle Busch and Justin Allgaier.

The event benefited four children’s hospitals around the country, and the winning “team” – the group of drivers who were racing for a hospital in St. Louis – had the best score to capture 30 percent of the purse.

“We had another first-time winner tonight,” Stewart said. “That’s what the fun part is. Watching Marcos Ambrose win his heat race and Jason Leffler win his heat race in their first time being here – that’s the stuff that makes you smile, and it’s fun to watch all these guys have a good time.”
