Allen Bestwick is back where many NASCAR fans believe he belongs: In the TV booth as the lap-by-lap announcer for Sprint Cup Series races.
ESPN Changes NASCAR Lineup: Allen Bestwick, Nicole Briscoe Move To New Roles
↵Bestwick, who held a similar role at NBC before being replaced by Bill Weber, will take over as ESPN’s lead voice during NASCAR telecasts starting at the Brickyard 400. Former Cup announcer Marty Reid will continue to call Nationwide Series and IndyCar Series races.
↵Bestwick’s move from the pit road studio to the booth left an opening for a studio host, which will be filled by Nicole Briscoe.
↵Briscoe will work the pit road studio with analysts Rusty Wallace and Brad Daugherty; Bestwick’s boothmates are Dale Jarrett and Andy Petree.
