Most viewers nationally will see Saturday night’s NASCAR race at Bristol Motor Speedway on their local ABC affiliate, but due to NFL preseason games in some areas, the listings may be different.
Tune-In Alert: NASCAR Bristol Race TV Listings May Vary By Area
Instead of ABC, the Bristol race will air on ESPN2 in the following eight markets:
– Phoenix
– Nashville, Tenn.
– Duluth, Minn.
– Rochester, Minn.
– Casper, Wyo.
– Rapid City, S.D.
– Sioux Falls, S.D.
– Weslaco, Texas
And if you’re in Houston, the race will air on your ABC affiliate’s digital tier station.
Obviously, this will be disappointing news for race fans who don’t have cable in the aforementioned markets. There are only a couple NASCAR races on network television for the rest of the season, so viewers who don’t pay the extra money for ESPN have few opportunities to see their favorite drivers.
Football, though, is still king in America. You may want to voice your displeasure with your local ABC affiliate if you’re upset about the programming decision.
Overall, though, just make sure you know where to find the race well before the green flag at Bristol on Saturday.
