VIDEO: Previewing The 2012 Indy 500

The 2012 Indianapolis 500 is now just a few days away. Qualifying is complete, the field is set and it’s time to try and figure out what is going to happen. That is where Jeff Gluck, SB Nation’s motor sports editor, comes in with this video preview.

Jeff discusses his expectations for the Indy 500 including the tribute planned for Dan Wheldon. Fans attending the race will be given a pair of cardboard white sunglasses as a tribute to Wheldon.

As far as the race goes, Jeff expects the top two Chevy teams, Andretti Autosport and Team Penske, to battle it out for the win. Cars using Chevy engines make up nine of the top 10 spots on the starting grid. In the end, Jeff gives Team Penske the advantage and predicts Helio Castroneves to claim his fourth Indianapolis 500 title.
