The weather forecast remains hot and humid with possible pop-up afternoon showers and storms for today and tomorrow’s NASCAR activities at Daytona International Speedway .
NASCAR Daytona Weather Forecast 2012: Florida Summer Means Chance Of Afternoon Storms
The skies will be mostly-to-partly-sunny with high temperatures in the lower 90s and humid. As the sea breeze sets up in the afternoon, these boundaries between cooler drier air and the warm humid air will once again cause showers and storms to pop up.
If one of these storms forms over the track this afternoon, it could cause a long delay. These storms lack steering winds that move them from one place to another. The overall forecast is mostly dry and while any storms that form will be more miss than hit, rain cannot be ruled out. Here’s hoping they continue to miss the track the remainder of the weekend.
