Former NFL linebacker Bill Romanowski is now a NASCAR team owner, as he has joined Swan Racing as a minority owner.

Additionally, Romanowski’s company, Nutrition53, which produces nutritional supplements and health drinks, will be the primary sponsor on the No. 30 car in 10 races and be an associate sponsor in the remaining 26 events.

This is just the latest in a series of high-profile moves team owner Brandon Davis has made since acquiring the assets last year to the then-named Innovative Motorsports. In the last few weeks, Davis has hired Tony Eury Jr. as crew chief and Steve Hmiel to run the organization on a day-to-day basis.

Davis also signed Michael Waltrip to drive for the team in the upcoming Daytona 500. David Stremme will take over driving duties the following week at Phoenix.

Romanowski played 16 seasons in the NFL with four different teams and appeared in five Super Bowls.

”I am thrilled to jump into the NASCAR world as a part owner and as a sponsor, Romanowski said in a statement. “Brandon has a vision for how to build a championship contender and I’m eager to be part of it.”
