How to follow Bank of America 500 online, TV schedule, radio and more

The Chase for the Sprint Cup hits the halfway point on Saturday with the Bank of America 500 from Charlotte Motor Speedway. Matt Kenseth begins the day atop the points leaderboard, but he’ll need a solid finish to stay there.

Kenseth finished 11th last week and saw Jimmie Johnson shave five more points off his lead. With four of the 10 Chase races in the books, Kenseth holds a three-point lead over Johnson with Kevin Harvick in third place, 25 points back. Although Kenseth’s lead is smaller than it was earlier in the Chase, he may be able to put some distance between himself and the rest of the pack this week. The Charlotte Motor Speedway is a 1.5-mile track, a setup Kenseth has excelled on this season. He won four of the eight races on 1.5-mile tracks this season, according to The Sporting News.

If Kenseth is going to win this week, he’ll have to make up some early ground. He’ll begin the race from the No. 20 position with Jeff Gordon on the pole. Kevin Harvick will start from the No. 2 spot while Johnson will be on the second row in the fourth position.

Saturday’s race will be under the lights with green flag scheduled for 7:46 p.m. ET. Live race coverage will begin on ABC at 7:30 p.m., following a 30-minute pre-race show. Fox Sports 1 will have an extended pre-race show, beginning at 5 p.m.

With the race airing on ABC instead of ESPN, there will not be a live broadcast available on ESPN3. Instead, the race is scheduled to re-air on ESPN2 Sunday morning at 3 a.m. and the broadcast will also be available on ESPN3. There also will not be Race Buddy coverage, meaning fans who want to follow the results online will be limited to the racecast on NASCAR.com.

There will be radio coverage available from Performance Racing Network. The broadcast can be listened to on SiriusXM channel 90 or online at goprn.com. The broadcast is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
