Entry list: All-American 400 Super Late Model race

The entry list for the All-American 400 is one of the most stacked in the event’s storied history and includes elite competitors from NASCAR, ARCA and the various Super Late tours.

The All-American 400 Super Late Model race is considered one of the most prestigious events in North American motorsports with the Nashville guitar trophy representing one of the most sought after prizes in stock car auto racing.

The winner’s list includes Darrell Waltrip, Rusty Wallace, Butch Miller, Gary Balough, Mike Garvey and Freddie Query, making Victory Lane at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville an undisputed path to greatness.

As a result, the entry list for this Saturday’s 29th Running read like a who’s who from the industry -- drawing names from both the NASCAR and elite level Late Model worlds.

Headlining the NASCAR contingent is Camping World Truck Series race winner Chase Elliott. ARCA Racing Series regular Kyle Benjamin has filed an entry as has his long-time Super Late Model rival Ross Kenseth, the son of current Sprint Cup Series championship leader, Matt.

Kenseth is the defending winner of the All-American 400, having edged out Bubba Pollard in a dramatic mid-race duel that ultimately proved to be the finish of the event as a caution for rain ended the event on lap 220.

Kenseth should again be considered one of the favorites but he will have to contend with one of the hottest Super Late Model drivers in the country in Erik Jones. Fresh off his victory in the Winchester 400 in October for Kyle Busch Motorsports, Jones will again bring the KBM No. 51 to Nashville looking to score his third Grand Slam Super Late Model event victory in as many tries.

The Grand Slam is composed of the World Crown 300 at Gresham Motorsports Park, Winchester 400 at Winchester Speedway, All-American 400 at Nashville and the Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway. Jones won the Derby last December, defeating Busch and ultimately earning a spot at KBM and followed that up with a victory at Winchester.

Jones was not entered into the World Crown but will attempt to score back-to-back victories in Derby when he and his KBM crew return to Five Flags in December.

Former race winners Kenseth, Mike Garvey and Eddie Hoffman Jr. are also entered into the field.

The All-American 400 will be co-sanctioned by the Southern Super Series and ARCA CRA Super Series this season. As usual, the event will feature a Civil War on Wheels theme with the Southern Super Series (South) set to do battle with the CRA contingent representing the North.

Drivers from both tours are entered and the complete entry list (as of Oct. 29) can be viewed below.
