Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth enter the race tied even at the top of the Sprint Cup standings. Johnson will be racing from the third spot and Kenseth is starting in sixth. Those aren’t the only two drivers competing for the title--Jeff Gordon and Kevin Harvick are just 27 and 28 points behind, respectively. Gordon jumped into third place after winning at Martinsville Speedway last week.
Carl Edwards won the pole position with a qualifying speed of 196.114 MPH. He has a chance to shake things up despite being well behind in the standings. Edwards is sitting in 10th place, 76 points behind Johnson and Kenseth.
