Chase Elliott became the first driver to win all four stages of the Grand Slam of Super Late Model racing on Saturday night at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville, finally picking up a victory in the All-American 400.
Matt Weaver recaps All-American 400 on Raceweek Illustrated TV program
SB Nation Motorsports reporter Matt Weaver traveled to Nashville last weekend to cover the final race of the Southern Super Series season at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville. He was interviewed by a regional television program after the race.

With his victory, Elliott now has a win in the All-American, the World Crown 300 at Gresham Motorsports Park, Winchester 400 at Winchester Speedway and Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway. The victories come in different seasons but it’s a remarkable achievement nevertheless.
A subplot to the race was Daniel Hemric overcoming a 53 point championship disadvantage to Bubba Pollard to win the inaugural Southern Super Series championship. Following the race, SB Nation Motorsports editor Matt Weaver was interviewed by the Raceweek Illustrated television program to discuss a variety of All-American 400 and Southern Super Series topics.
In the interview he addressed Elliott’s victory, Hemric’s championship and what the Southern Super Series could someday become after a successful first season of Super Late Model Tour racing in the Southeast.
A video recap of the event, as captured by Raceweek Illustrated can be found below, followed by host Brandon Reed’s interview with Weaver after the race.
