Erik Jones scored his second consecutive victory in the Snowball Derby but he did not lead a single lap, nor cross the finish line first. Chase Elliott was originally declared the winner of the race but failed post-race technical inspection for an outlawed piece of metal that was found in his race car.

SB Nation attended the prestigious Snowball Derby Super Late Model race in Pensacola, Fla. and put together a photo album from the final major stock car race of the 2013 season.

Jones was the next to go through the inspection process and passed and was ultimately declared the winner.
This is the second major Super Late Model victory of the season for Jones, who also won earlier this season in the Winchester 400 for Kyle Busch Motorsports. Jones earned the ride last December when he defeated Busch to win the previous year’s Snowball Derby. Grant Enfinger, Austin Theriault, Hunter Robbins and John Hunter Nemechek completed top-5.
