Jeff Gordon goes undercover to take car salesman for wild test drive

A disguised Jeff Gordon took a unsuspecting car salesman on a wild test drive that left him begging for Gordon to stop and threatening to call the police.

Jeff Gordon went undercover and took what appears to be an unsuspecting car salesman on a test drive that saw Gordon whip donuts and driving wildly through the parking lot.

The promotional “prank” was part of a Pepsi Max commercial and saw Gordon don a fake goatee and glasses and act as if he was a suspecting customer looking to buy a used 2009 Chevy Camaro.

Highlights of the three-minute video include:

  • The salesman, identified as Steve, asking Gordon what he “currently drives” and Gordon saying a minivan;
  • The former NASCAR champion telling Steve that the Camaro is “Way, way too much car for me,” and that he didn’t know if he “could handle a car with that much power;”
  • Steve pleading with Gordon to slow down and continually reminding him that he is liable for any damages he incurs;
  • And as the test drive wrapped up, Steve hopping out of the car and threatening to call the police before Gordon could reveal his true identity.
