Danica Patrick will return to the Nationwide Series Saturday at Talladega Superspeedway.
Danica Patrick to run Talladega Nationwide race
Danica Patrick to start Nationwide Series race at Talladega.

This marks Patrick’s second Nationwide start of the year, as she had competed in the season-opening race at Daytona. In that race she led five laps before an engine-related issue put her in the garage early. She finished 36th.
Just as she did at Daytona, Patrick will again be driving the No. 34 Chevrolet for Turner Scott Motorsports at Talladega.
“We had a great run going in Daytona, and I’m hoping we can pick up where we left off,” Patrick said.
That Patrick is competing at Talladega does not come as a surprise. In a short amount of time she has quickly adapted to restrictor-plate racing and proved to be competitive.
At Daytona in February, she become first female to win a pole in a Sprint Cup race and ran in the top 10 throughout the Daytona 500 en route to an eighth-place finish.
“We are very happy to welcome back Danica Patrick to the Turner Scott Motorsports Nationwide lineup this weekend in Talladega,” said team co-owner Harry Scott Jr. “We were extremely pleased with Danica’s efforts in Daytona and felt like we had all of the pieces in place to be successful.
“There’s a very good chance of Danica bringing home Turner Scott Motorsports’ first Nationwide win of the season.”
