Video: Danica lobbies boyfriend Stenhouse for All-Star vote

Danica Patrick tries to get boyfriend Ricky Stenhouse Jr. to vote her into the NASCAR All-Star Race in a video released Thursday.

USA TODAY Sports

Since going public in January that they were dating, Danica Patrick and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. have not shied away from questions about their relationship.

There are, however, some aspects that you would think, at times, create some awkwardness for the couple.

One is that they are adversaries on the racetrack, where 36 times a year, they’re trying to outperform the other. They also happen to both be vying for Rookie of the Year honors in the Sprint Cup Series.

And then there is the fact that they drive for different teams and rival manufacturers -- one for Chevrolet (Patrick) and the other Ford (Stenhouse).

The unique dynamics of the Patrick/Stenhouse relationship are put on full display in a new spot released Patrick’s longtime sponsor, Go Daddy.

In an attempt to win entry into the Sprint All-Star Race via fan voting, Patrick tries to persuade her boyfriend to cast a vote in her favor.
