NASCAR at Sonoma Raceway 2013: Lineup, starting grid for Toyota/Save Mart 350

Jamie McMurray edged Marcos Ambrose to take his ninth career pole, after two consecutive years without earning one.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup circuit has just two road courses, and Jamie McMurray will lead the field to the green flag for one of them on Sunday in the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway. Marcos Ambrose, the winner of the pole in 2012, was just a few hundredths of a second away from earning a second consecutive pole at the track.

Points leader Jimmie Johnson will start in the No. 19 position, while several road course specialists, including Jacques Villeneuve, Boris Said and Ron Fellows will try to play the role of spoiler for the series regulars. Fan favorites Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Danica Patrick will each start in the back half of the field in 26th and 31st, respectively.
