NASCAR Sprint Cup standings 2013: Brad Keselowski, Martin Truex Jr. jump into top 10

Jimmie Johnson is still comfortably ahead in the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup standings, but Keselowski and Truex Jr. made big jumps into the top 10 after Sunday’s race at Watkins Glen.

Reigning Sprint Cup champion Brad Keselowski was unable to overtake Kyle Busch in the final laps of the Cheez-It 355 at The Glen, but Keselowski’s second-place finish vaulted him up four spots to No. 8 in the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup standings.

Martin Truex Jr. finished in third place at Watkins Glen International, also pushing him up four spots in the Sprint Cup standings to No. 10. Truex and Keselowski took the spots of Kasey Kahne and Jeff Gordon in the top 10 of the standings, with Kahne and Gordon each falling four slots thanks to poor showings on Sunday.

Busch’s victory moved him up one spot in the standings to No. 5, switching positions with Dale Earnhardt Jr., who finished 30th at Watkins Glen. Current Sprint Cup leader Jimmie Johnson came in eighth place.

Here’s the top 10 of the Sprint Cup standings. The rest of the leaderboard can be found on NASCAR.com:
