NASCAR Chicago 2013: Lineup, starting grid for Geico 400

Joey Logano will lead the field to green after a chaotic week for NASCAR.

Joey Logano earned the pole position for Sunday’s Geico 400 at Chicagoland Speedway with a track record speed of 189.414 miles per hour. It is Logano’s second pole of the season and the seventh of his career.

Brad Keselowski will be beside Logano on the front row. The defending Sprint Cup champion will not have an opportunity to defend his title, however. NASCAR elected to add Jeff Gordon to the Chase for the Sprint Cup, creating an unprecedented 13-driver competition to finish the season, but Keselowski finished on the outside looking in.

Eyes will be on seven of the other drivers starting in top 10, as the front of the field is littered with drivers contending for the Sprint Cup championship.
