MOBILE, Ala. -- The Southern Super Series race at Mobile International Speedway scheduled for Saturday afternoon has been postponed due to rain. After consulting with its teams and drivers, series officials decided that the best date for a makeup would be on Oct. 5.
Rain postpones Miller Lite 125 Southern Super Series race
The Miller Lite 125 Presented by RE Suspensions will now be contested on Oct. 5 at Mobile International Speedway.


The race will serve as the penultimate event of the inaugural Southern Super Series season. Bubba Pollard leads Daniel Hemric by 48 points in the championship standings. The season will end on Nov. 2 with the All-American 400 at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville.

Race to be Made Up on Saturday, October 5th
IRVINGTON, AL (September 21, 2013) -- Southern Super Series officials have been forced to postponed the Miller Lite 125 Presented by RE Suspension at Mobile Int’l Speedway. Persistent rains and a poor forecast made it imposable to hold any racing today in Irvington, AL.
The race will be made up on Saturday, October 5th as this will be the conclusion of the Miller Lite Series points at Mobile in addition to the Gulf Coast Championship Series presented by Sunoco. The Gulf Coast series is a combination with races at Five Flags Speedway (FL). This will be the next to the last race for the Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco as the year will conclude on Saturday, November 2nd at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway (TN) as a part of the All American 400.
