NASCAR Texas 2014: Start time, TV schedule for Duck Commander 500

Tony Stewart will start on the pole on Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway in the Duck Commander 500.

NASCAR will return to the 1.5-mile loop after short track battles in two of the next three weeks, as the Sprint Cup Series will make its next stop at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday.

Leading the field to the green flag will be Tony Stewart, who earned his first career victory at the track in 2011. Prior to his November 2011 victory, Stewart had 18 career starts in Texas without a win, despite nine top-10 finishes.

NASCAR at Texas

The pole is the second of Stewart’s career at Texas, and his first since he earned one in April 2010, although he finished only 72 laps before he was involved in a crash that ended his day. On Saturday afternoon, Stewart just edged Brad Keselowski for the top spot, which would have been the first pole of Keselowski’s career at the track.

For the second time in as many races at Texas Motor Speedway, Keselowski will start in second and look for his first victory and fourth consecutive top-10 finish.

NASCAR points leader Dale Earnhardt Jr. is set to start 19th on Sunday as he looks to increase his nine-point cushion for the series lead ahead of Matt Kenseth, who is scheduled to start 26th.

Coverage of the Duck Commander 500 begins with pre-race coverage at 2:30 p.m. ET on Fox.
