How to follow Duck Commander 500 online, TV schedule, radio and more

Oval racing at Texas Motor Speedway is exciting again.

Jerry Markland

After the bruising short track racing at Martinsville last weekend, NASCAR returns to oval racetracks this week when it visits Texas Motor Speedway. And if recent history is any indicator, then the Duck Commander 500 should keep you glued to your television.

Thanks to various rule changes and points system overhauls in the offseason, every single race this season has featured hard racing and numerous lead changes. So far, 1.5-mile ovals like TMS are no exception. So don’t expect single-file racing all afternoon when the green flag flies. Those with fast cars like Kevin Harvick and Brad Keselowski won’t let pole-sitter Tony Stewart stay out front for very long.

Unless, of course, the weather keeps the green flag from flying at all. There’s an 80 percent chance of rain in Fort Worth on Sunday that could at least delay the start of the race.

At any rate, coverage of the Duck Commander 500 will begin at 3 p.m. ET on Fox.

Duck Commander 500 Coverage:

TV: Fox - 3 p.m. ET (Green flag waves at approximately 3:13 p.m.)

Online: NASCAR.com RaceView (with a paid subscription)

Radio: Performance Racing Network (PRN) and Sirius XM Satellite NASCAR Radio 90
