NASCAR Martinsville 2015: Lineup, starting grid for Goody’s Headache Relief Shot 500

Jeff Gordon is an eight-time winner at Martinsville Speedway, and will look for a ninth victory at the Virginia track on Sunday in the Goody’s Headache Relief Shot 500, the seventh of 10 races in the 2015 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

Gordon, who is retiring after the 2015 season, is one of eight drivers still alive for NASCAR’s championship, starting in fifth position on Sunday after a qualifying lap of 97.896 mph on Friday. Gordon has won the Goody’s at Martinsville five times (1996, 1999, 2003, 2005 and 2013) and has won the STP 500 at the same track three times (1997, 2003 and 2005).

Gordon finished ninth at this year’s STP 500 at Martinsville on March 29.

Joey Logano, winner of each of the last three races, starts in pole position on Sunday, in search of his seventh win of the season. Of the eight drivers still alive in The Chase, Kurt Busch starts in the lowest position at Martinsville on Sunday, in 15th.

NBCSN will provide pre-race coverage at 11 a.m. ET, with race coverage beginning at 1 p.m. and the green flag at approximately 1:15 p.m. Rick Allen will call the race alongside analysts Steve Letarte and Jeff Burton, with pit reporters Dave Burns, Mike Massaro, Marty Snider and Kelli Stavast.
