NASCAR shifts its focus to the greater Miami area on Sunday with the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship being decided in the final race of the year, the Ford EcoBoost 400 from Homestead-Miami Speedway in south Florida.

Four drivers are still alive in The Chase for the Sprint Cup, vying for the 2015 championship — Kevin Harvick, Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch and Martin Truex, Jr.

The sentimental favorite is Gordon, in the final race of his glorious career. Gordon is a four-time Sprint Cup champion, with his last title coming in 2001.

Harvick, who has made a living at or near the front of the pack all season with three wins and a whopping 12 second-place finishes in 2015 — including last week at Phoenix — won the 2014 Ford EcoBoost 400, a race that hasn’t seen a repeat winner since Greg Biffle won the race three straight years from 2004-06.

NBC is pulling out all the stops in its NASCAR coverage for the championship race, with 80 cameras on-site, including 24 Sony HDC-4300 cameras and 24 on-board cameras in eight different cars. Coverage from Homestead on Sunday begings with a pre-race NASCAR America Sunday show on NBC at 1:30 p.m. ET, then Countdown to Green at 2 p.m. with Krista Voda, Kyle Petty and Dale Jarrett.

Full race coverage begins at 3 p.m. on NBC, with Rick Allen calling the action alongside analysts Steve Letarte and Jeff Burton, with Marty Snider, Mike Massaro, Kelli Stavast and Dave Burns providing news from the track.

The race can be followed online and via mobile devices through NBC Sports Live Extra.
