NASCAR Texas 2015 schedule: XFINITY Series, Sprint Cup descends on Fort Worth

NASCAR is back at “The Great American Speedway” for two races this weekend.

NASCAR returns to Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth this weekend for a pair of races, including the AAA 500 on Sunday. The eighth of 10 races in the Chase for the Sprint Cup is getting us closer and closer to crowning a 2015 champion.

The XFINITY Series returns, as well, after two weeks off, with the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge on Saturday night, a 300-mile trek, also one of three races remaining in the 2015 season.

The NBC family of networks will televise the weekend schedule, including Rick Allen calling the XFINITY race alongside Steve Letarte and Jeff Burton on Saturday night on NBC. The trio is also calling the Sprint Cup race on Sunday afternoon, also on NBC.

Both races can be followed online and via mobile devices through NBC Sports Live Extra.

Friday

12:30 p.m.: Sprint Cup first practice (NBCSN)

2 p.m.: XFINITY final practice (NBCSN)

6:30 p.m.: Sprint Cup qualifying (NBCSN)

Saturday

11 a.m.: Sprint Cup second practice (CNBC)

12:15 p.m.: XFINITY qualifying (NBCSN)

2 p.m.: Sprint Cup final practice (NBCSN)

3 p.m.: XFINITY Countdown to Green pre-race show (NBC)

3:30 p.m.: XFINITY Seies O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge (NBC)

Sunday

1:30 p.m.: Sprint Cup Countdown to Green pre-race show (NBC)

2 p.m.: Sprint Cup Series AAA Texas 500 (NBC)
