We are down to three races remaining in the Chase for the Sprint Cup, with NASCAR in Fort Worth this weekend for the AAA Texas 500 from Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday afternoon.

The eight drivers still alive for the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup championship will be trimmed to four after next week at Phoenix, with the retiring Jeff Gordon sitting pretty after a win last week at Talladega.

Brad Keselowski took the pole position at Texas with the top speed in qualifying on Friday, in need of a strong finish after finishing 32nd last week at Talladega. Keselowski’s one win this season came on March 22 at Fontana, and he has six top-five finishes since.

Gordon will start in 18th position on Sunday.

NBC will televise the race from Fort Worth on Sunday beginning with a pre-race NASCAR America Sunday show at 1 p.m. ET on NBCSN, then moves to NBC at 1:30 p.m. with Countdown to Green. The full race coverage begins at 2 p.m. with Rick Allen calling the action alongside analysts Jeff Burton and Steve Letarte, with Dave Burns, Mike Massaro, Marty Snider, Kelli Stavast and Nate Ryan from the track.

The race can be followed online and via mobile devices through NBC Sports Live Extra.
