NASCAR Martinsville 2015: Start time, TV schedule for STP 500

Here is the start time and schedule for the STP 500 on Sunday in Martinsville, Va. Fox Sports 1 has coverage of the race.

The sixth race of the NASCAR Sprint Cup season gets underway on Sunday afternoon with the STP 500 at Martinsville Speedway in Virginia.

Fox Sports 1 will have coverage of the event, beginning with NASCAR Raceday at 11:30 a.m. ET, followed by race coverage at 1 p.m. on FS1. Mike Joy will call the race alongside analysts Darrell Waltrip and Larry McReynolds in the both, and reporters Jamie Little, Chris Neville and Matt Yocum.

All eyes will be on Kevin Harvick, who has two wins and three second-place finishes in five NASCAR races this season. But the points leader isn’t the only one to watch.

“I think Jimmie Johnson will be on his game. He and Jeff Gordon could be the best two. In fact, if you picked any Hendrick Motorsports car, it would be a good pick. Something about Martinsville just works for that team,” said Waltrip this week. “Let’s just say that a Hendrick car wins, Kevin Harvick runs second and the streak continues.”

Johnson has won the STP 500 three times, the last time in 2013. Harvick has won the race once, in 2011.
