Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

The 18th annual Kobalt Tools 400 from Las Vegas Motor Speedway will feature Jeff Gordon starting in pole position for the 79th time of his career. But it’s the first time he has done so in Sin City.

Gordon won the pole with a qualifying speed of 194.679 mph on Friday, his second pole position of the season and his first ever at Las Vegas. NASCAR Sprint Cup points leader Joey Logano is in second position.

Brad Keselowski, who won the Kobalt Tools 400 in 2014, starts Sunday in 11th position with a qualifying speed of 192.555 mph.

The Kobalt Tools 400 will be televised by Fox with pre-race coverage beginning at 3 p.m. ET. The green flag is scheduled for approximately 3:46 p.m.
