NASCAR Kansas 2015: Lineup, starting grid for SpongeBob SquarePants 400

The 11th race of the 2015 season is set for Saturday at Kansas Speedway. Here’s the full lineup and starting grid.

Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

Joey Logano ran the fastest lap of the third round to win the pole for Saturday’s SpongeBob SquarePants 400 at Kansas Speedway, the 11th race of the 2015 season. The track for Friday’s qualifying was dry despite fears of severe weather.

Logano set a speed of 192.397 mph on the 1.5-mile track to become the youngest pole winner in track history. He narrowly edged out Kasey Kahne, who managed 191.911 mph. The top three rows are rounded out by Brad Keselowski -- Logano’s teammate -- in third, Martin Truex Jr. in fourth, Carl Edwards in fifth and Kevin Harvick in sixth.

Jeff Gordon has 10 top-five starts at Kansas Speedway, but he’ll be starting 11th. He has not won a race this season, but he’s won three times at this track over the course of his career. Erik Jones -- making his first official Sprint Cup start -- qualified in 12th place while last week’s race winner Dale Earnhardt Jr. will begin in 17th place.

The race is set for Saturday with an approximate green flag time of 7:46 p.m. ET, according to Jayski.com. The race will be on Fox Sports 1 with pre-race coverage beginning at 7 p.m. We’ve got the full lineup and starting grid below.
