The SpongeBob SquarePants 400, the 11th race of the NASCAR Sprint Cup season, is set to get underway at Kansas Speedway on Saturday. If the weather holds up, it should be an exciting race. Some worried that severe weather could impact qualifying and the race itself, but the conditions stayed dry Friday.

The weather was good enough for Joey Logano to run the fastest lap and post a speed of 192.397 mph to top the third round of qualifying. He barely edged out Kasey Kahne, who posted 191.911 mph. Brad Keselowski, Martin Truex Jr., Carl Edwards, Kevin Harvick, Greg Biffle, Kurt Busch, Jamie McMurray and Kyle Larson rounded out the top 10.

Jeff Gordon, who has won three times at this track and is in his final season, qualified 11th. He failed to add an 11th top-five start at the track, but it could have been much worse. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is set to race from 17th place after winning last week’s race.

The race is set to get underway at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, with an approximate green flag time of 7:46 p.m., according to Jayski.com. The race will be carried by Fox Sports 1, with pre-race coverage getting underway at 7 p.m.
