The 2015 NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup is officially here, beginning with the myAFibRisk.com 400 on Sunday from Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill., the first of 10 races that comprise the NASCAR playoffs.

The 16 top drivers by points will battle over the next 10 races, with three separate sets of three races comprising each elimination round. Four drivers will be eliminated after each three-race period, leaving four left to vie for the championship at Homestead on Nov 22.
Chicago is the first of the three-race Challenger Round, which also has stops in Loudon, NH and Dover, Del.
Kevin Harvick, who won two races in 2015 and finished second a whopping 10 times, was awarded the pole position for Sunday’s race after a rainy qualifying round. He won the first two myAFibRisk.com 400 races, back in 2001 and 2002.
NBCSN will have pre-race coverage beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET with ‘Countdown to Green,’ with host Krista Voda and analysts Kyle Petty and Dale Jarrett. NBCSN’s race coverage starts at 3 p.m., with Rick Allen calling the race alongside analysts Jeff Burton and Steve Letarte.
The race can be followed online and via mobile devices through NBC Sports Live Extra. The race will re-air on NBCSN Monday at 2 p.m.
