NASCAR Richmond 2016: Lineup, starting grid for Toyota Owners 400

Amber Searls-USA TODAY Sports

NASCAR moves to Richmond on Sunday with the 2016 Toyota Owners 400 from Richmond International Speedway, the ninth race in the 36-race Sprint Cup season.

Points leader Kevin Harvick has the pole position this week thanks to rain wreaking havoc on qualifying Friday, his first pole of the season even if it doesn’t officially count as such because of the weather.

Harvick, who has one win to his credit this season (in Phoenix), won in Richmond in 2013.

Last week’s winner in Bristol, Carl Edwards, ranks second in points to Harvick and starts in fourth position Sunday.

Tony Stewart, in his return to NASCAR, starts in 18th position. He won Richmond in both 2001 and 2002.

Fox will televise the race from Bristol beginning with pre-race coverage at 12:30 p.m. ET, followed by the race at 1 p.m., with Mike Joy on play-by-play alongside analysts Jeff Gordon and Darrell Waltrip, plus Larry McReynolds, Jamie Little, Vince Welch and Matt Yocum on the coverage as well.
